Up to -90% CO₂
Significantly reduce your fleet’s CO₂ emissions compared to conventional diesel fuel.
A renewable alternative to diesel fuel, compatible with many diesel vehicles, without engine modification.
Significantly reduce your fleet’s CO₂ emissions compared to conventional diesel fuel.
Use HVO100 with the majority of current and older compatible diesel vehicles, without changing the engine.
Benefit from a diesel fuel alternative without loss of power or increased consumption.
A biofuel certified sustainable according to the European RED Directive and the French national scheme.
HVO100 is produced solely from waste materials such as used cooking oils or animal fats. All raw materials are ISCC certified, an international sustainability standard recognized by the European Commission. We pay the utmost attention to the traceability of raw materials and ensure compliance with current sustainability regulations.
Raw materials are purified before use in the biorefinery. Pre-treatment is an essential step that involves removing all compounds unsuitable for the hydrotreatment process, such as metals, salt, impurities, unsaponifiables, etc.
The production process requires the extraction of glycerin, oxygen groups, and unsaturation sites from residual oils to produce a saturated hydrocarbon (alkane), using very high temperatures and pressures and catalysts. These plants are often called biorefineries because the process is somewhat similar to the hydrotreatment (with hydrogen) of petroleum fractions.
2.5 million m³ of HVO100 are currently produced in Europe each year. This production will be multiplied by 3 by 2025. Altens is deploying logistics solutions with the establishment of 5 strategically located storage sites across the territory. This network across France allows Altens to optimize and guarantee rapid deliveries to all customers.
HVO100 (EN 15940) has been the only alternative fuel recognized and approved for years by almost all engine manufacturers for trucks/buses: DAF, Mercedes-Benz, Renault Trucks, Steyr, Scania, Volvo, MAN, Otokar, Heuiliez, Setra, Cummins, and for off-road machinery such as Agco, Caterpillar, Liebherr, JohnDeere, Hitachi, New Holland, Deutz.
