Choose a renewable gas offer adapted to your business and continue your activity with ease.
Gas delivery remains identical: your equipment continues to operate as it does today, via the existing network. The difference lies in its origin. You choose a renewable gas produced in France, derived from the recovery of local resources, while supporting the development of the biomethane sector.

Biomethane is produced through anaerobic digestion and then injected into the gas network. A guarantee of origin is issued for every MWh produced.
The guarantee of origin is recorded in the national registry, then can be acquired and transferred between different market players. It allows for tracing the renewable origin of biomethane, even when mixed in the network.
ALTENS adapts the share of renewable gas in your offer to your decarbonization goals. Guarantees of origin thus make it possible to trace and value the share of biomethane associated with your consumption.

Natural gas is a fossil fuel extracted from the ground, while biogas is a renewable energy produced from organic matter, such as agricultural waste, bio-waste, or sewage sludge.
Once purified, biogas can become biomethane, whose characteristics are very similar to those of natural gas. It can thus be injected into existing gas networks and used for the same purposes, while reducing the carbon footprint associated with energy consumption.
No, in the case of biomethane injected into the network, no major modification to your installations is generally necessary. Biomethane has the same usage characteristics as natural gas and can be used in existing equipment compatible with the gas network.
Biogas allows your business to reduce the carbon footprint associated with its gas consumption while maintaining existing equipment and uses.
It also contributes to the development of renewable energy produced locally from organic matter. Depending on the origin of the biomethane, its carbon footprint can be significantly lower than that of natural gas.
Finally, choosing a biogas offer allows the company to showcase its energy transition efforts and have traceability elements to justify the renewable origin of the energy consumed.
