Why is the EcoVadis assessment a key challenge for Altens?
The EcoVadis assessment is the international benchmark for CSR evaluation. EcoVadis analyzes companies across four main pillars: Environment, Labor Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
This assessment allows us to measure the maturity of our CSR approach, highlight our commitments, and identify new areas for improvement.
For Altens, it serves as a true benchmark for embedding its CSR approach in a dynamic of continuous improvement, while making this commitment visible and verifiable for our stakeholders.

From Silver to Gold in one year:
how did ALTENS progress?
This progress is not by chance. It reflects extensive work carried out across all our QSE pillars — Quality, Safety, Health, Environment, Regulatory, and CSR — and our assessment report, published in March 2026, bears witness to this: we are progressing in all four themes rated by EcoVadis.
The Ethics pillar achieved 94/100. Our anti-corruption policy, whistleblowing procedures, and client data security are fully recognized.
Sustainable Procurement scored 88/100: our processes now systematically integrate CSR criteria, supported by a supplier code of conduct and verification checklists.
In Labor Human Rights, we reached 72/100, driven by concrete measures — a health and safety action plan, family programs, flexible work arrangements, and non-discrimination training.
Finally, Environment progressed to 78/100, thanks to structured energy-climate policies and on-the-ground actions recognized by analysts.
What is the real impact of this Gold medal for Altens?
This means Altens is now positioned in the 97th percentile of the EcoVadis database, placing it among the highest-rated companies over the past twelve months, across all sectors.
And when compared to our own sector, wholesale trade of solid, liquid, and gaseous fuels and related products, the performance is even more telling: Altens is among the top 3% of companies evaluated on the overall score. In Ethics and Sustainable Procurement, we are in the top 1% of the sector; in Environment, in the top 9%; and in Labor Human Rights, in the top 12%. For a sector not always perceived as a pioneer in CSR issues, reaching this level is a true demonstration of what can be achieved.
Why is this progress important for your clients and
partners?
Our clients are themselves increasingly committed to CSR criteria in their own procurement policies. They need partners capable of demonstrating, with supporting evidence, the robustness of their social, environmental, and ethical approach.
Moving from Silver to Gold in one assessment, with a score of 94/100 in Ethics and 88/100 in Sustainable Procurement, sends a strong signal: that of a company not content with a basic level of compliance, but one committed to a dynamic of continuous and transparent improvement. It is an additional guarantee of trust.
And now, what’s the next step?
Gold is not an endpoint; it’s a stage. We have already initiated a roadmap towards Platinum, with the next assessment targeted for 2027. This involves continuing to structure our actions across all pillars, but also expanding our approach to our value chain, progressively supporting our suppliers in a sustainable procurement framework.
