Switching to B100 does not necessarily require significant investments. For compatible vehicles, Altens can cover the retrofit allowing their use with B100. Depending on needs, Altens can also support the implementation of necessary equipment for fuel storage and distribution, particularly with the installation of a tank and an adapted filtration system.
B100 is a renewable biofuel produced from rapeseed oil. Its production and delivery are subject to traceability, allowing the fuel to be tracked throughout the supply chain. B100 also benefits from recognized certification and control systems, such as ISCC or the National Scheme.
Depending on its production, B100 can significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions compared to fossil diesel. PUR100 can achieve up to a 60% reduction in GHG emissions, and up to 80% for its low-carbon version.
Consumption may be slightly higher than with diesel. On average, Altens observes an increase of 5 to 8%. This difference can vary depending on the vehicle, type of journey, and operating conditions.
For each delivery, Altens provides a durability attestation to justify the origin and traceability of the fuel, as well as the greenhouse gas emissions associated with its production and delivery.
This attestation relies on industry certification systems, notably ISCC and the National Scheme, and provides reliable information on the durability of the delivered fuel. It is thus an essential element for ensuring traceability and justifying the environmental performance of B100.
